A New Special Shape Balloon officially takes flight

One of the custom balloons we collaborated on with our client and Cameron Balloons in Ann Arbor, Michigan — nearly a year in the making from early design concepts through final construction — took its first flight last year in Temecula, California. The balloon, named Lenore, was graciously named after the owner of Columbus Aeronauts, Russ Jurg, by the balloon’s new owner, Sheryl Reichert. The National Ballooning Magazine, published by the Balloon Federation of America, featured an editorial on Lenore — with a mention of Russ and his mom on the fourth page.

Custom balloon projects like Lenore are a labor of love from start to finish. Every design decision, every panel, every detail is considered over months of close collaboration between the client, the builder, and our team. Seeing a balloon you helped bring to life take its first flight is one of those moments that reminds you why this work matters — and having it carry a name as meaningful as Lenore makes it all the more special.
