A tethered balloon ride offers the thrill of flight while remaining safely secured to the ground. The balloon is anchored at three or four points with high-tensile strength ropes, allowing us to lift passengers to heights of up to 100 feet. The height the balloon reaches for each tethered promotion depends on the actual wind speeds that day.
This unique setup lets us safely accommodate large groups—perfect for events where traditional balloon flights aren't practical. Whether it's a corporate grand opening, a festival, or a private party, a tethered balloon turns any event into something truly unforgettable.

Capacity
Each balloon lifts 50–75 people per hour, with 2–4 passengers per flight based on combined weight. Need more throughput? We can arrange multiple balloons for events expecting 150+ guests.
Scheduling & Weather
Tethered events are available year-round, weather permitting. Best windows are within 2 hours of sunrise or sunset. Our pilot has final call on all flight decisions.

Planning a tethered balloon event is straightforward. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most.
When Can We Schedule?
Tethered events are available year-round, weather permitting. Best windows are within 2 hours of sunrise or sunset when winds are calmest.
Where Can We Host?
We need a minimum 250′ × 250′ clear area, free of trees, towers, power lines, and light poles. We offer free site inspections within 25 miles of downtown Columbus.
How High Do We Fly?
Tethered flights typically reach 25–100 feet. Our pilot determines exact altitude based on wind, terrain, anchor points, and passenger weight — safety always comes first.
How Long Is an Event?
The average event runs approximately 2 hours. Duration may flex based on time of day, fuel capacity, weather conditions, and total participant count.
Who Can Participate?
Anyone in reasonable health who can climb in and out of the basket. Each guest must sign a waiver before flying, and a parent or guardian must sign for minors.
Expecting a Large Crowd?
When your guest list exceeds 150 people, we can coordinate multiple balloons operating simultaneously to keep lines moving and the energy high. Our team handles all logistics — you focus on your event.
